The Serrano is a prolific Mexican chili known for its small, slender fruits that pack a bright, biting heat significantly sharper than a jalapeño. These high-yielding plants produce thick-walled peppers that are typically harvested green but transition to a vibrant red, offering a crisp, grassy flavor essential for authentic salsas and pico de gallo. Reaching maturity in approximately 75 to 80 days, the plants are notably easy to grow and highly productive across a variety of garden climates.
