Released in 2014 by Wild Boar Farms in California the Dark Galaxy is a relatively new tomato variety, but it’s sweet flavor and it’s out of this world appearance makes it a favorite. This salad type tomato typically grows round but surprising variations of shapes can occur ranging in size between 1-4 ounces. As it ripens in changes from a green topped and purple bottom fruit to a speckled dark purple and rusty red color which resembles stars in the night sky. The plant exhibits dense foliage and grows to a manageable height of 4 feet tall.
