Spicy Pepper - Black Hungarian

Spicy Pepper - Black Hungarian
'Black Hungarian' is a traditional Hungarian variety that originated in the town of Kiskenfelegyhaza. It has gained worldwide recognition as one of the most renowned black hot peppers. As it matures, it transforms from a deep purple shade to a vibrant red, resembling black in the process. Although it is not advisable to consume the fruit at this stage, it possesses a considerable level of spiciness. However, as it ripens to a red hue, the heat diminishes, allowing the delightful berry-like flavor to fully develop. Despite having a certain level of spiciness, it is relatively mild, comparable to a jalapeño rather than a habañero. Its delightful sweetness makes it an ideal choice for fresh applications, such as salsa. Originating from Eastern Europe, these peppers have a relatively short growing season, typically maturing within 70-80 days.
