The Petrillo is a red heirloom tomato from Puerto Rico known for its unique, heavily ribbed and flattened shape. These indeterminate plants produce high yields of 3–5 oz fruits that have few seeds and a rich, slightly tart flavor. It is valued for being an early-maturing variety, typically ripening in about 70 days, which is sooner than many similar fluted varieties.
