Hopi Tobacco (Nicotiana rustica) is an exceptionally potent heirloom variety. This compact, hardy annual produces thick, rounded leaves and clusters of distinctive yellow flowers that are much smaller than those of N. tabacum. Historically significant to the Hopi people and other Indigenous tribes, it is primarily used as a sacred ceremonial smudge or as a powerful natural insecticide.
