Derived from cross pollenating 11 different varieties, some of which were heirlooms without any information, which resulted in a delightful Pie Pumpkin. The fruits have the typical color and shape of pie pumpkins, weighing between 2-7 lbs, with a few larger ones over 10 lbs. Some even have netting on the skin, similar to Winter Luxury. Each variety passed a taste test and all are excellent for making pies. The Early Sweet Sugar Pie won the Caughlin Pumpkin Pie Contest.
