During the Tomato Festival organized by ‘Ferme Nos Pilifs’ in Brussels, a stunning tomato was unveiled for the first time in August 2017. This variety was named after the symbolic couple of the festival, Valerie-Anne Forier and Boris Moreau. Mlle Foriers tomato was created by Pascal Antigny and Bruno Fournier of France, through a cross between ‘Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye’ and ‘Indigo Rose’. The plants can grow up to 1.60 meters tall and produce a bountiful yield of medium to large, round and slightly flattened, deep pink fruits with smooth shoulders and anthocyanic splash on the sun exposed part. The flesh is firm, juicy, and sweet with very few seeds, and it maintains its quality even after a long shelf life.
